El Corazón en las Nubes is an alpaca and llama ranch
that was established in 1997, and is located in the mountains above Malibu beach, with typical California coastal
weather. Having an alpaca/llama ranch gives us the opportunity to use our 8 acres in an ecologically friendly
manner, while building up retirement wealth in a peaceful, satisfying business venture in which the whole family
can participate.

Our "Ranch Hands" are David, Ruth, and Caitlin. Ruth is a past President of SoCalpaca,
and all of us have participated in alpaca show management, with David serving as a Ring Steward and Event Manager,
Caitlin serving as show announcer, and all of us serving as Gate Stewards. We have a herd of 20 alpacas and two
llamas, with partnerships in 3 studs. We offer agistment (boarding) for other alpaca owners' animals, and we have
a small store featuring yarns and products from our animals. We enjoy breeding, showing, shearing and selling
our animals, as well as practicing fiber art crafts and creating lasting relationships with other owners
and breeders in this business. |
